Job summary

Transdev seeks a Safety & Training Manager in the United States to lead safety compliance, recruit and train operator candidates, and promote strong leadership within the location. The role includes behind-the-wheel and classroom instruction, maintaining safety manuals, and coordinating with client and corporate teams on training needs.

Travel is limited to under 10% and benefit programs apply. Strong experience in passenger transport safety and DOT regulations is required, with a High School

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the passenger transportation industry.
• Experience in location safety management and/or operations management.
• Providing quality training, including the creation and management of training materials.
• DOT drug testing requirements and safety compliance as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provides behind-the-wheel instruction according to corporate and client specifications in vehicle operation and passenger transportation.
• Conducts classroom training in accordance with corporate and location requirements.
• Ensure all safety manuals, programs, policies, and procedures are current and meet location needs.
• Document all training activities and maintain training-related employee records.
• Establish relationships with client and corporate personnel to identify training needs and resources.
• Prepares and conducts monthly safety meetings.
• Maintains employee filing system and participates in audits.
• Directs the location drug & alcohol program including random testing and audits.
• Manages injury prevention program to reduce workplace injuries.
• Conducts accident investigations and assigns retraining as required.
• Maintains OSHA log and posts safety information.
• Conducts road observations to evaluate safety and service knowledge.
• Provides coaching and retraining on Drive Cam.
• Responds to customer comments related to the service.
• Travel outside the immediate area <10%.
