Job summary

WeDriveU is seeking a Safety Manager to oversee safety compliance for our transit program and ensure DOT/OSHA/CAL-OSHA standards are met. You will lead training programs, supervise driver trainers, and drive safety improvements across nationwide operations.

Responsibilities include designing training, conducting on-site sessions, investigating incidents, and maintaining our Safe Driver Award program. Strong MS Office and transportation software skills are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.
• 3 years as a Trainer in transportation industry desired.
• Strong MS Office and transportation software knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead, design, develop and implement training programs for transportation personnel.
• Supervise driver trainers, set objectives, schedules and performance.
• Recruit and train drivers to meet program needs.
• Provide classroom instruction and behind-the-wheel training; recommend upgrades.
• Deliver ongoing training and performance evaluations for drivers.
• Administer drug/alcohol testing programs with corporate office.
• Develop and conduct regular Driver Safety Meetings.
• Investigate incidents and prepare reports per company policy.
• Address customer safety concerns and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain Safe Driver Award program; ensure compliance.
