Job summary

WeDriveU is seeking a Safety Manager to develop, oversee, and enforce safety compliance for our transit program. You will lead DOT/OSHA/CAL-OSHA regulatory adherence and prepare the workforce to meet client needs.

Responsibilities include designing training for transportation personnel, supervising driver trainers, recruiting and training drivers, and overseeing the drug/alcohol testing program and safety meetings. A CDL with passenger endorsement is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years managing paratransit safety/training programs or similar.
• CDL with passenger endorsement and driving experience preferred.
• Supervisory experience in driver workforce is highly desired.
• Strong knowledge of safety programs, policies, and practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and delivery of driver safety training programs.
• Supervise trainer staff and set performance standards.
• Recruit and train drivers to meet safety requirements.
• Provide classroom and behind-the-wheel training for drivers.
• Manage drug/alcohol testing program with corporate office.
• Conduct regular Driver Safety Meetings and evaluations.
• Investigate and respond to incidents, ensuring proper reports.
• Address safety concerns and implement corrective actions.
