Job summary

Transit is seeking a staff member to assist in planning and coordinating Motorcoach and Paratransit activities within the Operations Division of the Transit Department. The role involves coordinating with other divisions and outside agencies, assisting Transit Supervisors, and monitoring driver documentation.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree from an accredited college or university in business.
• Three (3) years of transit operator experience.
• Possession of a valid New Mexico Driver's License, or the ability to obtain by date of hire.
• Possession of a valid City Operator's Permit (COP) within six (6) months from date of hire.
• Possession of a valid New Mexico Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class B with a Passenger (P) endorsement within three weeks from completion of City CDL training.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the planning and coordination of Motorcoach and Paratransit activities and operations.
• Coordinate with other divisions, outside agencies, and the public.
• Assist in monitoring drivers' duties and documentations.
• Obtain and maintain required Motorcoach and paratransit certifications.
• Perform driving and non-driving duties as needed.
• Provide staff assistance to supervisory or management staff.
• Respond to and investigate emergencies, accidents, and related incidents.
