Job summary

Keolis in Leesburg, VA is seeking a Dispatch Coordinator to manage driver assignments, monitor service delays, and provide ETA to customers. You will coordinate coverage, ensure on-time departures, and maintain documentation for incidents.

Requirements include at least 1 year in dispatch, a high school diploma, English proficiency, and the ability to work rotating shifts in a fast-paced environment; union environment and pre-employment screening apply.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of dispatch experience is required.
• Must read, write and speak English fluently.
• Proficient with Windows-based systems and Excel.
• Strong knowledge of the service area (Multi County area including DC).
• Able to multitask in a high-speed environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure each driver reports at their scheduled work shift time.
• Notify customers of service delays and interruptions via software.
• Answer customer calls and provide directions and ETA.
• Arrange coverage for any driver call-offs.
• Ensure operators pull out on time.
• Provide written documentation of incidents and follow-up actions.
• Communicate clearly in English, verbally and in writing.
• Provide clients with location and ETA information promptly.
• Make cost-effective and operationally efficient decisions on trips and staffing.
• Monitor Transit Radio System (TRS) and AVL to optimize resources.
• Maintain Dispatch Communication log and complete documentation.
• Perform various administrative duties; calls, courtesy calls, filing, etc.
• Other duties as required.
