Job summary

RATP Dev USA in Florida is seeking a Dispatcher/Scheduler with transportation experience to join our operations team. This permanent, full-time role pays $17.75 per hour and requires at least two years of general work experience, including driving and customer service.

You will coordinate routes with routing specialists, dispatch drivers, handle calls, confirm details, and adjust plans to maintain on-time service. The position is not remote and requires availability on Saturdays.

Qualifications

• Entry level position with less than 2 years of experience.
• Must have a valid driver''s license and be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with routing specialists and schedulers to optimize routes.
• Dispatch drivers using information provided by clients through the reservation department and online reservation application.
• Review and respond to all incoming calls, confirming details with the client and reviewing reservations two weeks out.
• Discuss with the client availability to review online reservations.
• Field incoming calls for day-of requests, ensure availability, and examine route changes.
• Initiate outbound calls to city connect and access.
• Troubleshoot and resolve potential pickup problems before they cause service issues.
• Ensure service on missed pickups by coordinating driver movement in the field.
• Assist in determining the daily level of driver staffing to provide the best mix of responsiveness and productivity.
• Other duties assigned by the operation staff.

Requirements for a Dispatcher/Scheduler

• Minimum of two (2) years of general work experience, includingdriving experience and customer service experience.
• Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
• Must have been a licensed driver for at least two (2) years.
• Ability to work under time constraints and deadlines
• Problem-solving and analytical abilities
• A Valid Drivers License
• No criminal convictions or DWI, DUI, assault, or possession
