Job summary

DSV - Global Transport and Logistics in Walton, KY seeks a Training Supervisor to lead and coordinate the site's operational training program, ensuring employees are trained, qualified, and prepared to perform safely and effectively.

You will oversee new-hire orientation, on-the-job training, MHE certification, and documentation, partner with operations leadership, and drive training compliance across shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in warehousing, distribution, logistics, manufacturing, or a similar operational environment.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience conducting, coordinating, or supporting employee training, onboarding, or operational development.
• Experience with warehouse processes, Standard Operating Procedures, safety requirements, and training.
• Experience operating and/or training employees on material handling equipment preferred.
• Must be able to work flexible hours and support multiple shifts as business and training needs require.
• Must be able to work in warehouse environments with varying temperatures.
• Must be able to work overtime as dictated by business needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the site's new-hire orientation and operational training programs.
• Develop and maintain a structured site training plan that supports business needs, staffing plans, customer requirements, safety standards, and operational objectives.
• Coordinate training schedules for new hires, transfers, promotions, cross-training, process changes, and refresher training.
• Partner with Operations leadership to ensure employees receive appropriate job-specific training before independently performing assigned duties.
• Oversee on-the-job training programs and ensure training is delivered consistently across shifts, departments, and trainers.
• Provide direction, coaching, and support to designated trainers, subject matter experts, and employees responsible for conducting training.
• Train and coach supervisors, leads, trainers, and other employees on effective training methods and expectations.
• Coordinate and/or conduct MHE training, certification, and recertification in accordance with DSV requirements and applicable safety standards.
• Ensure employees operating forklifts or other powered industrial equipment have completed required training and certification before independent operation.
• Maintain accurate and current training records, certification records, attendance documentation, qualification records, skills matrices, and other required training documentation.
• Monitor upcoming certification expirations and coordinate recertification before credentials lapse.
• Maintain site training matrices and provide leadership with visibility into employee qualifications, outstanding training requirements, and compliance status.
