Job summary

Depot Connect International (DCI) is seeking DOT inspector mechanics with 3+ years of tank trailer repair experience in Memphis, TN. Shift: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM. Pay range: $22.00–$36.00 per hour, with semi-annual reviews.

Responsibilities include diagnosing failures across mechanical and electrical systems, performing tank service and repairs, and ensuring DOT HM183 compliance for safe operations.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of tank trailer repair experience.
• Ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical failures.
• Experience with Betts valves, gaskets, and tank components.
• Familiarity with DOT HM183 and hazmat standards.
• MIG/TIG welding on aluminum and stainless steel.

Shift Hours

Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM

Pay Range

$22.00 to $36.00 per hour, dependent on experience.

Skill-based pay rate reviews and potential increases every 6 months.

Demonstrated Skill In Most Of The Following Areas

• The ability to diagnose failures and make repairs on mechanical, electrical or other various systems on a tank trailer.
• Tank service and repair, Betts valves, gaskets
• Trailer suspension installation and repair
• Experience with air brake systems and repairs
• Ability to use handheld diagnostic tools, tablets, basic tech skills
• MIG & TIG aluminum and stainless steel
• Ability to effectively and efficiently inspect tanks and trailers to align with DOT standards (HM183, hazmat)

Physical Demands

• The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• With assistance, occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
• Must be able to fit through a 16\" tank trailer manhole
• Must be able to work in confined spaces
