Job summary

Apex is hiring a Project Manager for its Northeast Division to lead traffic/transportation engineering projects, oversee design and bid documents, and mentor staff. You will guide traffic analyses using tools like Synchro and PTV Vissim, manage budgets, and communicate with municipalities to advance client relationships.

Required are a Civil/Transportation Engineering degree, 8+ years' experience, and MA licensure (reciprocity within a year). A PTOE is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Transportation Engineering is required.
• 8+ years of experience in traffic/transportation engineering with models, studies, design, and project management.
• Knowledge of traffic study and design standards and MassDOT submission processes.
• Professional Engineering License in Massachusetts or ability to obtain reciprocity within one year.
• PTOE certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct the preparation of studies, design and construction bid documents for traffic-related transportation projects.
• Provide technical direction on traffic analysis models, signal design, and sign/pavement markings design.
• Maintain oversight of project financials, budgets, schedules, and progress.
• Present effectively at meetings with clients and the public.
• Mentor staff, manage workloads, and resolve issues.
• Prepare project scopes and budgets for proposals and contracts.
• Maintain communication with municipalities and regional agencies.
• Build and sustain client relationships to generate opportunities.
