Job summary

Apex Companies is seeking a Project Manager to lead traffic and transportation engineering projects across our Northeast Division. You will supervise study preparation, design, and bid documents for roadway and multimodal projects, guiding teams and coordinating with clients, municipalities, and regional agencies.

You will manage budgets and schedules, mentor staff, and present project status at meetings. A PE in MA or reciprocity within one year is preferred, with PTOE certification a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Transportation Engineering required.
• 8+ years in traffic/transportation engineering with design and project management experience.
• Strong knowledge of traffic modeling and design standards, including MassDOT processes.

Responsibilities

• Supervise studies, design, and bid documents for traffic projects.
• Provide technical direction on traffic models, signals, and signage design.
• Oversee budgets, schedules, and project progress; present to clients/public.
• Build and manage client relationships and project opportunities.
