Job summary

Apex Companies, LLC is seeking a Project Manager in the Northeast division to lead traffic/transportation projects, oversee studies, design, and bid documents, and mentor staff. You will manage budgets, schedules, and client communications on roadway and multimodal assignments.

The role requires a Civil/Transportation Engineering degree, 8+ years in traffic engineering, and MA licensure or reciprocity within a year; PTOE is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Transportation Engineering required.
• 8+ years in traffic/transportation engineering including models, studies, design and PM.
• MassDOT submission knowledge; PTOE certification a plus.
• Licensure in Massachusetts or reciprocity within one year.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct preparation of studies, design and bid documents for roadway projects addressing traffic challenges and multimodal needs.
• Provide technical direction on traffic analysis models, traffic signal design and signs/pavement markings.
• Maintain oversight of project budgets, schedules, and progress.
• Present effectively at meetings with clients and the public.
• Mentor staff, manage workloads, and resolve issues.
• Prepare project scopes and budgets for proposals and contracts.
• Maintain communication with clients including municipalities and regional agencies.
• Develop and nurture client relationships to create opportunities.
