Job summary

TAPCO is seeking a skilled ITS Technician to maintain, install, and troubleshoot Intelligent Transportation Systems. You will work on traffic signals, message signs, cameras, and network devices, partnering with contractors to deploy new devices and train users.

A background in computers, networking, AC/DC electronics, and fiber optics is preferred. You will join a team focused on safety, reliability, and efficiency of traffic management.

Qualifications

Associate's degree in electronics or equivalent on-the-job experience.
Two years field service/troubleshooting experience.
Proficiency with DC/AC testing and electronics principles.
Familiarity with IP networks, routers, switches and configuration.

Responsibilities

Install, maintain, and repair electronic, computer, and network systems.
Safely operate tools and equipment and use related software.
Provide technical phone support to customers and contractors.
Troubleshoot equipment to board level and document field reports.
Travel to customer sites, including multi-day overnight travel as needed.
