Job summary

TAPCO (Traffic and Parking Control Co., LLC) is hiring an ITS Technician to maintain, install, and troubleshoot Intelligent Transportation Systems including signals, signs, cameras, and network gear.

You will work with contractors, train users, and perform field maintenance while traveling as needed and supporting TAPCO Made products. The role requires a background in electronics and networking and willingness to work nonstandard hours.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in electronics or equivalent experience.
• Two years of field service and troubleshooting experience.
• Working knowledge of electronic, electromechanical, and electrical power principles.
• Proficient with PC and IP networks, Windows OS, and software installation.
• Experience with fiber optic networks and testing.
• Valid driver's license and willingness for multi-day travel.
• Ability to work outside hours and in high-stress environments.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair ITS hardware, software, and network systems.
• Train users and coordinate with contractors on new devices.
• Troubleshoot electronics to board level and document field reports.
• Operate tools safely and manage software/firmware changes.
• Provide phone support to customers and TAPCO staff.
• Travel to customer sites, including multi-day trips.
