Job summary

TAPCO (Traffic and Parking Control Co., LLC) is seeking a skilled Traffic Systems Technician to maintain, install, and troubleshoot Intelligent Transportation Systems including signals, signs, cameras, and network gear. The role collaborates with contractors to install devices, train users, and perform routine maintenance across TAPCO-made products.

A background in computers, networking, AC/DC electronics and fiber optics is preferred; occasional travel outside Wisconsin may be required.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in electronics or consummate on-the-job experience.
• Two years of industry experience in field service and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency with electronic, electromechanical and electrical principles and testing in DC/AC circuits.
• PC literate and familiar with Windows OS, Office, file transfer, and software installation.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electronic, computer, communication and network systems.
• Safely operate related tools and equipment.
• Provide technical phone support to customers and contractors.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment, diagnosing failures to board level.
• Maintain records and field reports.
• Travel to customer sites, including multi-day overnight travel.
