Job summary

TAPCO is seeking a skilled Traffic Systems Technician to maintain, install, and troubleshoot Intelligent Transportation Systems. You will work on traffic signals, dynamic signs, cameras, and TAPCO-made products, often with contractors, and travel may be required outside Wisconsin.

A background in electronics, networking, and fiber optics is preferred, with an Associate's degree or where experience counts. Competitive benefits and pay based on experience are offered.

Qualifications

• 2 years of industry experience in field service and troubleshooting.
• Associate's degree in electronics or equivalent on-the-job experience.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools and electrical systems.
• Must be able to configure equipment including control boards, routers, switches in an IP network.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electronic, computer, and network systems.
• Safely operate related tools and equipment.
• Operate computer systems and TAPCO software.
• Provide technical phone support to customers and contractors.
• Troubleshoot to component level and document field reports.
• Maintain accurate field records and communicate with team and customers.
• Implement software/firmware changes and install hardware on devices.
• Familiar with software that controls TAPCO products.
