Job summary

TAPCO is seeking a skilled ITS Technician to join our team in Wisconsin. You will maintain, install, and troubleshoot Intelligent Transportation Systems including signals, signs, cameras, and network equipment. Experience with computers, networking, and fiber optics is preferred, with travel to customer sites as needed.

The role emphasizes working with contractors, training users, and performing routine maintenance on TAPCO products while supporting after-hours emergencies when required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in electronics or equivalent on-the-job experience.
• Two years of field service and troubleshooting experience.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electronic, computer, communication and network systems.
• Safely operate related tools and equipment.
• Operate related computer systems and software.
• Provide technical phone support to customers, contractors and TAPCO employees.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment down to board level.
• Maintain accurate field reports and records.
• Communicate effectively with employees, contractors and customers.
• Implement software/firmware changes on devices.
• Configure software controlling TAPCO products.
• Travel outside Wisconsin may be required.
