Job summary

Coastal Elite Pro is hiring a Traffic Safety Protector to join our field team. You will assist in setting up and removing traffic control devices, guide traffic with paddles, and help enforce safety protocols.

No prior experience or degree is required as comprehensive training and support are provided. Expect outdoor work year-round, potential long hours, and opportunities for growth within the organization.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license is required.
• Ability to stand, walk, lift 40–50 pounds, and work outside for extended periods.
• Willingness to work in traffic and diverse weather conditions.
• Flexible schedule and punctuality.
• Ability to pass pre-employment screening, including drug tests.
• Alertness around moving traffic and respectful interaction with coworkers and the public.

Role Overview

As a Traffic Safety Protector, you will work with a team at job sites to manage traffic control and ensure safety. No experience or degree is required, as training and support are provided.

Your Key Responsibilities Include

• Setting up cones, signs, barricades, and removing traffic control equipment
• Guiding traffic using stop/slow paddles and monitoring site activity
• Following all safety protocols learned during training
• Communicating effectively with crew and supervisors
• Maintaining vehicles and equipment cleanliness and safety
• Working outdoors year-round in various weather conditions

Shifts may include nights, weekends, or emergency work, with potential long hours standing or walking. Safety gear such as helmets, goggles, vests, and weather gear is provided; steel toe boots are required.

Additional Details

Compensation

$19.50–$20.25 per hour, with overtime opportunities and pay increases within the first year. Paid training and traffic safety certification are included.
