Job summary

Coastal Elite Pro in Kingsport, TN is seeking a Traffic Safety Protector to join a team at various sites, ensuring safety and traffic control. No prior experience or degree is required, as comprehensive training and support are provided.

Responsibilities include setting up and taking down cones, signs, and barricades; directing traffic with stop/slow paddles; adhering to safety protocols; communicating with crew and supervisors; and maintaining vehicles and equipment in all weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to stand, walk, and lift 40-50 pounds.
• Willingness to work in traffic and changing weather.
• Candidates must pass a pre-hire screening, including drug testing.

Role Overview

• Maintaining cleanliness and safety of vehicles and equipment
• Working outdoors year-round in all weather conditions

Key qualifications include a valid driver’s license, the ability to stand, walk, and lift 40-50 pounds, and a willingness to work in traffic and changing weather. Candidates must pass a pre-hire screening, including drug testing. Flexibility, punctuality, alertness around traffic, and respectful conduct towards coworkers and the public are essential.

Additional Details

Compensation ranges from $16.25 to $17.00 per hour, with overtime, pay increases within the first year, and paid training leading to a traffic safety certification.
