Job summary

Coastal Elite Pro in Lynchburg, VA is seeking a Traffic Safety Protector to join a mobile team at various job sites. No prior experience or degree is required as comprehensive training and ongoing support are provided.

You will set up cones, signs, and barricades, guide traffic with stop/slow paddles, and follow safety protocols learned during training. The role involves outdoor work in all weather, possible nights and weekends, with paid training and benefits.

Role Overview

As a Traffic Safety Protector, you will work with a team at various job sites to ensure safety and traffic control. No prior experience or degree is required, as comprehensive training and support are provided.

Your Key Responsibilities Include

• Setting up cones, signs, and barricades, and dismantling traffic control equipment
• Guiding traffic using stop/slow paddles and monitoring site activity
• Adhering to all safety protocols learned during training
• Communicating effective with crew and supervisors
• Maintaining cleanliness and safety of vehicles and equipment

This role involves working outdoors in all weather conditions, with shifts potentially including nights, weekends, or emergency work. You may stand or walk for extended periods and need to lift 40–50 pounds. A valid driver’s license, the ability to work safely around traffic, and a commitment to punctuality are essential. Personal protective equipment such as hard hats, safety goggles, vests, and weather gear are provided; steel-toe boots are required.
