Job summary

Haynes and Boone, LLP in Dallas seeks a Trademark Docket Manager to oversee the firm's trademark and copyright docketing operations and support the Intellectual Property Department with administrative and management tasks.

You will lead a docketing team, ensure timely deadlines for domestic and international matters, maintain manuals, produce reports, and drive data quality while delivering exceptional client service to our IP clients.

Qualifications

• Comprehensive knowledge of U.S. and international trademark and copyright docketing rules, procedures, and deadlines.
• Experience with intellectual property docketing systems and supervising docketing staff.
• Strong quality control, multi-priority management, and client service focus.

Responsibilities

• Manage the firm's trademark and copyright docket to ensure timely docketing of deadlines for domestic and international matters.
• Supervise docketing team to achieve accuracy and timeliness.
• Update and maintain operating manuals and guides for docketing activities.
• Interface with IP Department leadership and attorneys to respond to information requests.
• Create docket reports upon request by attorneys and staff.
• Ensure docketing guidelines align with firm standards and best practices.
• Monitor and maintain reports for statistical analysis.
• Manage intake of transferred files and docket entry.
• Establish standards for processing and forwarding docketed items.
• Train, mentor, develop, and evaluate docketing staff; conduct performance evaluations.
