Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Palmdale, CA is seeking a PC Network Support Technician 1/2 to support information system lifecycle activities on-site. The role requires working on-site full-time at Palmdale and the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance due to the classified nature of the work.

Responsibilities include ticketing, workstation relocations, basic diagnostics, and routine service desk tasks while ensuring security policies and inventory accuracy are maintained.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have a DoD 8570 security certification (e.g., Security+ CE or greater).
• Ability to obtain a U.S. Government Top Secret level security clearance prior to start.
• Ability to obtain, and maintain, access to Special Programs prior to start and as a condition of continued employment.
• Experience in Microsoft Windows Desktop Operating Systems, Microsoft Office Product Suites, and remote deployment methods.

Responsibilities

• Creates and manages tickets for all support incidents, reviewing trouble ticket queue and ensuring timely updates and documented resolution.
• Performs relocation of workstations and equipment for users between campus buildings.
• Provides basic diagnostics, identifies and analyzes problems using historical records.
• Resolves technical problems and answers queries by phone in support of internal and external customers.
• Uses Active Directory to create and unlock user/computer accounts and perform password resets.
• Maintains accurate inventory records for hardware assets and updates status when deployed or retired.
