Job summary

Bart & Associates, Inc. is seeking a Top-Secret Junior FOIA Analyst to support a federal government contract with the Joint Staff Declassification Branch in Suitland, Maryland.

The role will conduct document-level declassification reviews across ADR, MDR, FRUS, FOIA, and SR in line with EO 13526 and agency guidance. Qualified applicants must have a TS clearance with SCI eligibility and a bachelor’s degree in the social sciences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in the Social Sciences is required.
• Degree in other fields may be accepted with relevant declassification experience.
• Must meet the DoD declassification experience criteria across ADR, MDR, FRUS, FOIA or SR.

Responsibilities

• Conduct line-by-line, document-level declassification reviews across ADR, MDR, FRUS, FOIA, and SR in accordance with EO 13526 and Joint Staff guidance.
• Process high-level SPR requests from Congress, DoD OGC, and other external agencies.
• Assist with internal FOIA and MDR document searches and provide recommended responses with supporting rationale.
• Generate timely, accurate reports concerning records reviewed by the Declassification Branch.
• Archive completed declassification actions into the Joint Staff electronic archiving repository within 5 business days, maintaining ≥99% quality.
• Maintain, update, and ensure accuracy of Declassification Branch databases.
• Provide guidance and QA support to junior analysts as needed.
