Job summary

Peraton is seeking a FOIA Analyst to support an IC customer onsite in Bethesda, MD. You will respond to requests for review and release of classified information under FOIA, PA, EO 13526, and IC policies.

Responsibilities include handling complex FOIA cases, MDR/ADR reviews, coordinating with internal IC components and external agencies, ensuring thorough documentation, meeting deadlines, and submitting final letters within three business days of approval.

Qualifications

• Requires TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance.
• Requires BS/BA degree plus 5 years experience, or 9+ years with no degree.
• Experience supporting FOIA, PA, MDR and/or ADR case processing including coordination, documentation, drafting correspondence, and requester interactions.
• Strong ability to review sensitive government records and ensure compliance with disclosure, privacy and classification requirements.
• Excellent written communication skills, with ability to produce error-free, professionally formatted documents.

Responsibilities

• Respond to FOIA/PA/EO 13526 requests for review and release of classified or sensitive information.
• Handle complex cases including FOIA litigation and FOIA appeals with IC policy alignment.
• Conduct MDR and ADR reviews in accordance with EO 13526.
• Coordinate taskings and document collection across IC components and external agencies.
• Validate searches and ensure accurate case documentation.
• Monitor case progress and meet deadlines with government leads.
• Provide high-quality, grammatically correct work requiring minimal government editing.
• Submit signed final letters and close cases within three business days of government approval.
