Job summary

B&A is seeking a Top-Secret Junior FOIA Analyst to support a federal government contract in Suitland, Maryland for the Joint Staff Declassification Branch. You will perform document-level reviews under EO 13526 across ADR, MDR, FRUS, FOIA, and SR, with eligibility for SCI access.

Qualified candidates must have a TS clearance, a relevant degree, and experience in declassification workflows. Travel and security investigations may be required.

Qualifications

• Thorough understanding of EO 13526, classification criteria, and FOIA.
• Knowledge of Joint Staff structure, mission, history and equities.
• DOE Historical Records and Restricted Data Reviewer course completed.

Responsibilities

• Conduct line-by-line declassification reviews across ADR, MDR, FRUS, FOIA, SR per EO13526 and Joint Staff guidance.
• Process high-level Special Review (SPR) requests from Congress and external agencies.
• Assist with internal FOIA and MDR searches; provide recommended responses with rationale.
• Generate timely, accurate reports on records reviewed by the Declassification Branch.
• Archive actions in the Joint Staff electronic repository within 5 business days; maintain 99% quality.
• Maintain and update Declassification Branch databases for accuracy.
• Provide guidance and QA support to junior analysts as needed.
