Job summary

Bart & Associates, LLC in Suitland, MD is seeking a Top-Secret Junior FOIA Analyst for a federal contract to support the Joint Staff Declassification Branch. You will conduct document-level declassification reviews across ADR, MDR, FRUS, FOIA, and SR, following EO 13526 and applicable guidance.

Qualifications include a bachelor's in social sciences and at least 1–2 years in DoD declassification or two years across the processes, with TS clearance and SCI eligibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences required; other disciplines may be accepted with documented declassification work experience.
• Experience in DoD declassification reviews in ADR, MDR, FRUS, FOIA, or SR preferred.
• Must understand EO 13526 and FOIA provisions.
• Security clearance requirements may apply to access to classified information.

Responsibilities

• Conduct line-by-line, document-level declassification reviews across ADR, MDR, FRUS, FOIA, and SR.
• Process high-level SPR requests from Congress, DoD GC, and other agencies.
• Assist with internal FOIA and MDR searches and provide recommended responses with rationale.
• Generate timely, accurate reports concerning records reviewed by the Declassification Branch.
• Archive completed actions in the Joint Staff archive within 5 business days, maintain 99% quality.
• Maintain, update, and ensure accuracy of Declassification Branch databases.
• Provide guidance and QA support to junior analysts as needed.
