Job summary

B&A is seeking a Top-Secret Junior FOIA Analyst to support a federal contract in Suitland, Maryland. The role focuses on conducting document-level declassification reviews across multiple processes, adhering to EO 13526, Joint Staff instructions, and guidance from external agencies.

Qualified applicants must meet security clearance requirements. Education requires a Bachelor’s in the Social Sciences, with flexibility for other disciplines if combined with relevant declassification

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in the Social Sciences required.
• Experience in at least two of the following processes: ADR, MDR, FRUS, FOIA, or SR; or total of 2 years conducting declassification reviews for the Joint Staff, with at least 1 year in each process.

Responsibilities

• Conduct line-by-line, document-level declassification reviews across ADR, MDR, FRUS, FOIA, and SR per EO 13526 and Joint Staff guidance.
• Process high-level Special Review requests from Congress, DoD OGC, and external agencies.
• Assist with internal FOIA and MDR searches and provide recommended responses with rationale.
• Generate timely reports concerning records reviewed by the Declassification Branch.
• Archive completed actions within 5 business days and maintain 99% quality.
• Maintain accuracy of Declassification Branch databases.
• Provide guidance and quality assurance to junior analysts.
