Job summary

B&A is seeking a Top Secret Senior FOIA Analyst to support a federal government contract in Suitland, Maryland. You will conduct line-by-line declassification reviews across ADR, MDR, FRUS, FOIA, and SR under EO 13526 and Joint Staff guidance, handling high-level requests from Congress and external agencies.

The role requires a TS clearance with SCI eligibility and a bachelor’s degree in the social sciences, with 5 years of DoD declassification experience or 2 years on the Joint Staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences required. Candidates with other degrees or substantial declassification experience may be considered.
• At least 5 years of DoD declassification review experience in two processes (ADR, MDR, FRUS, FOIA or SR); OR
• At least 2 years of Joint Staff declassification review experience (1 year in each process) may be accepted.

Responsibilities

• Conduct line-by-line, document-level declassification reviews across ADR, MDR, FRUS, FOIA, and SR in accordance with EO 13526 and Joint Staff guidance.
• Process high-level Special Review requests from Congress, DoD OGC, and external agencies.
• Assist with FOIA and MDR document searches and provide recommended responses with rationale.
• Generate timely, accurate reports on records reviewed by the Declassification Branch.
• Archive completed actions within 5 business days and maintain 99% quality.
• Maintain Declassification Branch databases and provide guidance to junior analysts.
