Job summary

United Rentals, Inc. is seeking a Tools Product Development Manager to serve as the subject matter expert for Tools & Industrial solutions and to support the internal sales organization.

You will educate teams, train internal customers, and assist with sales project support for new and existing product lines. You will drive market share growth by partnering with account managers and sales reps, providing tailored tools & industrial solutions, and leading strategic initiatives across districts

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of experience and education
• 7+ years of solutions sell experience preferably in the industrial sector
• Firm working knowledge of Tools & Industrial Solutions products/applications and usage in rental market
• Current valid driver’s license with ability to travel 80% within territory
• Strategic selling, advanced negotiation and customer service skills
• Excellent leadership, communication, presentation, and research skills
• Able to assess, quote, and secure large projects through solution-based selling
• Proficiency with SFDC, Dodge, PEC or other CRM software; Word and Excel

Responsibilities

• Target and develop Tools market share for Tools & Industrial division within districts/geography
• Work with Strategic, Government, National Account Managers and local Sales Reps to provide custom solutions
• accompany sales reps on complex calls and assist in selecting cost-effective solutions
• Develop & conduct Tools & Industrial Solutions training to drive growth
• Collaborate with corporate sales/BI to provide leads via SFDC, Dodge, PEC and other tools
• Perform other duties as assigned
