Job summary

United Rentals is seeking a Tools Product Development Manager to act as the single point of contact for Tools & Industrial products for the internal sales team. You will be a subject matter expert, provide consultative selling, training, and sales project support for new and existing product lines.

You will educate other business units and collaborate with account managers to deliver custom solutions. Travel up to 80% and leadership in developing market strategies are key expectations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of experience and education.
• 7+ years of solutions sell experience, preferably in the industrial sector.
• Firm working knowledge of Tools & Industrial Solutions products/applications and rental market
• Valid driver’s license with ability to travel 80% within assigned territory
• Strategic selling and advanced negotiation and customer service skills
• Excellent leadership, communication, presentation, and research skills
• Ability to assess, quote, and secure large projects through solution-based selling

Responsibilities

• Target development of tools market share within district(s) or geography.
• Collaborate with account managers and sales reps to provide custom solutions and expertise
• Support complex sales calls and help select cost-effective customer solutions
• Develop and conduct Tools & Industrial Solutions training to drive growth
• Assist in providing leads to sales using SFDC, Dodge, PEC, and other tools
• Perform other duties as needed
