Job summary

United Rentals is seeking a Tools Product Development Manager to act as the single SME for Tools & Industrial solutions and to support our internal sales team. You will educate several business units on product applications and lead training initiatives to grow market share.

The role emphasizes consultative selling, coordination with Account Managers, and leveraging CRM tools like SFDC and PEC to drive opportunities across the district.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent mix of experience and education.
• 7+ years of solutions selling experience preferably in the industrial sector.
• Firm working knowledge of Tools & Industrial Solutions products/applications in the rental market.
• Valid driver’s license with ability to travel 80% of the time within territory.
• Strategic selling, advanced negotiation and customer service skills.
• Excellent leadership, communication, presentation, and research skills.
• Able to quote and secure large projects through solution-based selling.
• Proficiency with SFDC, Dodge, PEC or other CRM software; MS Office (Word & Excel).

Responsibilities

• Target and develop tools market share for Tools & Industrial division within assigned geography.
• Collaborate with Account Managers and local Sales Representatives to provide custom Tools & Industrial Solutions to larger customers.
• Join complex sales calls as SME and assist in selecting cost-effective solutions.
• Develop and conduct Tools & Industrial Solutions training to drive growth.
• Work with corporate sales/BI to provide leads using SFDC, Dodge, PEC and other tools.
• Other duties as needed.
