Job summary

United Rentals is seeking a Tools Product Development Manager to act as the single point of contact for Tools & Industrial solutions to support our internal sales team. You will educate business units on products and applications and help drive market share in the tools segment.

You will collaborate with sales leaders and travel up to 80% within the assigned territory, bringing strategic selling and consultative expertise to complex opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of experience and education.
• 7+ years of solutions sell experience preferably in the industrial sector.
• Firm working knowledge of Tools & Industrial Solutions products/applications and how they are used in the rental market.
• Current valid driver’s license with safe driving record and ability to travel 80%
• Strategic selling and advanced negotiation and customer service skills.
• Excellent leadership, communication, presentation, and research skills.
• Able to properly assess, quote, and secure large projects through solution-based selling.
• Proficiency with SFDC, Dodge, PEC or other CRM software; MS Office (Word, Excel)

Responsibilities

• Target and focus on the development of tools market share for Tools & Industrial division withinDistrict(s) or assigned geography.
• Collaborate with Strategic Account Managers, Government Account Managers, National Account Managers, and local Sales Representatives to provide custom solutions and knowledge.
• Accompany Sales Representatives on complex sales calls and assist in selecting cost-effective solutions.
• Develop and conduct Tools & Industrial Solutions training to drive growth.
• Work with corporate sales/business intelligence to provide leads using SFDC, Dodge, PEC and other tools.
