Job summary

United Rentals is hiring a Tools Product Development Manager to act as the SME for Tools & Industrial products and support the internal sales team. You will guide large projects, train staff, and help expand market share across districts.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree, 7+ years in solution selling, and a strong capability in negotiation, leadership, and CRM tools like SFDC. Travel up to 80% in assigned territory is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of experience and education.
• 7+ years of solutions selling experience preferably in the industrial sector.
• Firm working knowledge of Tools & Industrial Solutions products/applications and how they are used in the rental market.
• Current valid driver's license with a safe driving record and ability to travel 80% of the time within assigned territory.
• Strategic selling and advanced negotiation and customer service skills.
• Excellent leadership, communication, presentation, and research skills.
• Able to properly assess, quote, and secure large projects through solution-based selling.
• Proficiency with SFDC, Dodge, PEC or other CRM software; MS Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Target and develop tools market share for Tools & Industrial division within districts.
• Collaborate with account managers and sales reps to provide custom solutions and expertise.
• Join sales calls as subject matter expert to propose cost-effective solutions.
• Develop and conduct Tools & Industrial Solutions training to drive growth.
• Assist in leads generation using SFDC, Dodge, PEC and related tools.
