Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to lead and manage a team.
• Strong understanding of store operations and merchandising techniques preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Must be accredited by the National Registry of Food Safety Professionals or similar accrediting organization as a "Certified Food Safety Manager" or will be required to attend company provided training and have the ability to achieve accreditation within the first 90 days of employment; Accreditation must be maintained while employed in a position requiring accreditation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Food Lion To Go operations, including hiring, training and developing department associates.
• Supervise performance of duties and provide ongoing performance management and appraisals for direct reports.
• Maintain effective work schedules for To Go associates to meet online order traffic and minimize customer inconvenience.
• Provide leadership and motivation to promote our Guiding Principles, Core Values, Vision and Strategy.
• Support achievement of budgeted financial and operating results.
• Coordinate with department managers to ensure fresh orders and handle out-of-stock items properly.
• Ensure return-to-stock items are managed promptly for refrigerated and perishable items.
• Model outstanding customer service and use product knowledge to meet customer expectations.
• Control store expenses through proper ordering and care for supplies and equipment.
• Understand and use company tools such as ACIS, scheduling, productivity, CAO ordering and business information systems.
