Job summary

Kapsch TrafficCom is seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented individual to join our team, full time, at the Region 2 Transportation Management Center (TMC) in Utica, NY. The System Operator I is responsible for monitoring traffic conditions, coordinating incident response, and ensuring efficient operation of the Transportation Management Center (TMC) in Region 2.

An Operator I – Trainee will begin in a training capacity and is eligible for promotion to System Operator I upon successful

Qualifications

• Education and experience requirements for the role.
• Proficiency in oral and written communication.
• Familiarity with roadway maps and local roadways.
• Experience collaborating with teams and partner agencies.

Responsibilities

• Monitor traffic conditions and coordinate incident response.
• Ensure efficient operation of the TMC in Region 2.
• Follow procedures and directives from NYSDOT management.

Associate degree or higher
