Job summary

Des Moines Area Community College is seeking a Project Manager for the Title III SIP program, a specially funded role focused on planning, coordinating, and implementing grant initiatives to improve student success and AI capacity in higher education.

Responsibilities include leading program activities, managing budgets, reporting to leadership, and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful grant outcomes and institutional capacity building.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and three years of project management, program management, grants administration, institutional effectiveness, higher education administration, or related experience.
• Demonstrated experience managing complex, multi-year initiatives.
• Demonstrated ability to lead complex projects and collaborate with stakeholders across multiple functional areas.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills.
• Strong communication, facilitation, and collaboration skills.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate and partner with internal and external stakeholders, while managing multiple and competing priorities.
• Experience monitoring budgets and expenditures.
• Proficiency with data analysis, reporting, and project management software.

Responsibilities

• Lead project leadership and coordination for the SIP grant across the five-year duration.
• Coordinate, oversee, and support implementation, evaluation, and sustainability of grant initiatives through cross-functional collaboration.
• Monitor data, assess progress, prepare reports, and present updates for leadership and boards.
• Ensure grant compliance, reporting, and budget performance with Sponsored Programs Accounting and Grants & Contracts.
• Manage vendor and consultant relationships, scopes of work, invoices, and performance.
• Develop and implement communication strategies and stakeholder engagement activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
