Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university in education, counseling, student affairs, higher education administration, developmental education, an academic discipline, or a closely related field.
• Two years of professional experience in student services, academic advising, student success, retention, tutoring, academic support, or a related higher education setting.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate Title III-supported student success and academic support activities, including proactive outreach, early intervention, tutoring, and resource navigation.
• Manage the College's early-alert process: review referrals, contact students, connect services, document interventions, monitor alerts.
• Develop and monitor individualized student success plans for at-risk students.
• Provide direct student assistance and referrals related to advising, tutoring, financial aid, childcare, transportation, technology access, basic needs, career planning.
• Coordinate centralized tutoring and learning-support services (in-person, peer, professional, online).
• Recruit, train, schedule, supervise, and evaluate peer tutors and academic-support staff.
• Collaborate with faculty and leadership to identify courses needing extra support and implement interventions.
• Coordinate access to labs and learning resources, including scheduling and tracking usage.
• Develop and conduct student workshops on study skills, time management, and digital literacy.
• Assist with faculty training on early-alert procedures and student success strategies.
• Maintain coordinated student-service procedures across departments and document outcomes.
• Collect and maintain data on participation, services, performance, persistence, and completion.
• Provide progress updates and documentation for monitoring and reporting to stakeholders.
• Review data to identify needs and improve student-success activities.
• Support orientation, registration, and other student-success activities per project plan.
• Maintain FERPA-compliant confidentiality and audit-ready records.
• Participate in project meetings and communicate progress and improvements.
• Promote Reid State Community College’s mission and policies.
• Attend staff and committee meetings as assigned.
• Perform other duties aligned with the SIP objectives.
