Florida State College at Jacksonville (FSCJ) has been awarded funding through the U.S. Department of Education's Title III Strengthening Institutions Program (SIP), a highly competitive federal grant designed to help colleges strengthen institutional capacity, improve student success, enhance academic programs, and expand educational opportunities. FSCJ's five-year initiative, The Institute for AI, Ethics, and Human Futures, will position the College as a leader in responsible artificial intelligence education by integrating AI across academic programs, expanding faculty expertise, and creating innovative learning environments.
By the end of the grant, FSCJ aims to expand AI-enhanced learning opportunities across disciplines, and strengthen workforce readiness through innovative, technology-enabled learning experiences.
The Director of Program Development will play a pivotal leadership role in this transformative initiative, providing strategic oversight, coordinating implementation across multiple divisions, fostering innovation, and ensuring the successful achievement of grant objectives that will have a lasting impact on student success and institutional effectiveness.
At a minimum, the selected candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution and five (5) years of related experience in an educational setting. Additionally, the preferred candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution and five (5) years of experience in program development in higher education, including grant funded programs.
