Job summary

Inserso is seeking Network Support Technicians to provide onsite and remote Tier 2 support for DHS customers worldwide from Boston. The role covers hardware, software, network diagnostics, cloud and IT services, with guidance from an Area Technical Lead and Service Desk operations.

You will handle network device installations, security patching, server configurations, backups, and daily/weekly reporting. Candidates should have 1+ years of IT support and the ability to travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. Citizen and pass the DHS Employment Eligibility Verification process.
• Associate Degree or equivalent experience.
• 1+ years' IT-related support experience, preferably in a helpdesk or customer support role.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve desktop, network, or other IT issues.
• General knowledge of network products and systems.
• Experience in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide LAN administrator support with installation, configuration and maintenance of network devices and servers.
• Support network-attached devices including computers, printers, and sensors.
• Assist with mobile and wireless devices including smartphones and hotspots.
• Apply security patches and test server configurations.
• Monitor system health and perform backups and restore testing.
• Maintain ServiceNow tickets and generate regular activity reports.
• Provide inventory input for the customer’s inventory system.
• Support video teleconferencing infrastructure and after-hours on-call rotations.
• Conduct new equipment deployments and ongoing deployment support.
