Job summary

The Salvation Army Silverado Store is seeking an experienced Store Manager to direct daily operations, supervise staff, and drive sales in a community‑minded team. You will manage scheduling, training, and performance, ensuring excellent customer service and adherence to ARC policies.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and 3 years of retail management, POS experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to pass background checks.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 3 years Retail Management/Supervisory experience.
• Operate POS/Cash Register and schedule/supervise store employees.
• Must hold a valid Driver's license and proof of insurance.
• Pass background check including Criminal History and Sex Offender Registry.
• Ability to communicate with management, staff, customers and donors.

Responsibilities

• Plans and directs the day‑to‑day operations of the store.
• Develops strategies to improve customer service, drive sales and profitability.
• Maintain Customer/Donor relations; resolve complaints; ensure quick service.
• Schedule employees and coordinate daily team meetings.
• Rotate clearance tables without delaying checkout efficiency.
• Supervise employees and ensure policy compliance.
• Interview and hire new store employees; provide training.
• Issue disciplinary warnings and conduct performance reviews.
• Ensure timely rotation of clearance tables and BRP goals.
• Safeguard cash, manage change, and banking per policy.
• Attend district and store meetings; implement new policies.
• Maintain safety measures and transfer staff as needed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
