Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Project Manager for our Energy & Resources business line to lead multi-discipline teams on thermal generation projects in North America. You will drive project objectives, manage risks, and ensure alignment with PM frameworks while supporting business development as a seller-doer.

The role requires 15+ years in power generation projects and at least 5 years in business development, with a BS in engineering and PE preferred. Travel to US/Canada sites will be necessary.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 15 years of experience on power generation projects (Owner’s Engineer and/or detailed engineering/design).
• Minimum 5 years in business development or as a “seller-doer.”
• Registration as a Professional Engineer is preferred, but not required.

• Provide project management expertise to our team.
• Manage Energy projects/programs.
• Support project management best practices and methodology.
• Coordinate with leadership, discipline leads, and clients.
• Lead or support proposals as required.
• Mentor junior staff and achieve utilization targets.
