Job summary

Stantec seeks a Project Manager for its Energy & Resources line to lead multi-discipline teams delivering thermal generation projects across North America. You will provide leadership, manage scope, schedule, budget, and quality, while serving as a seller-doer to drive business growth and client satisfaction.

The role requires experience in EPC/DBB/ECI delivery models, strong communication, and the ability to travel to US and Canadian sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Engineering design and construction experience with power plant projects.
• Expertise in project management including team leadership, resource management, scheduling, project controls, reporting and document controls.
• Strong leader and team player, collaborator, and communicator with strong interpersonal skills and experience in managing a team.
• Project management experience in leading projects utilizing various delivery models such as EPC, DBB, ECI etc.
• Knowledge of multi-discipline engineering services related to energy projects.
• Experience in business development, proposal, and budget development.
• Demonstrated leadership competencies.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work across multiple offices and geographies.
• Problem-solving skills and ability to address deviations from baseline scope, schedule, or budget.

Responsibilities

• Provide project management expertise to our team.
• Manage Energy projects/programs.
• Support and contribute to our Project Management best practices and methodology.
• Coordinate with leadership, discipline leads, inter-discipline teams, vendors and clients.
• Coordinate with leadership to ensure alignment and consistency of project execution.
• Contribute to client satisfaction by building a culture of excellence and accountability.
• Practice effective business discipline across our business line to monitor resources, schedule, budget, and quality.
• Identify and resolve project execution gaps with leadership.
• Provide feedback and develop action plans to implement lessons learned.
• Support leadership in resource management, recruitment, and mentoring PMs.
• Lead or support proposals as required.
• Support mentorship and development of junior staff.
• Achieve utilization target as agreed annually.
