Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Project Manager for the Energy & Resources line to lead multi-discipline teams on thermal generation projects in North America. The role includes owner’s engineer or detailed engineering/design for simple cycle, combined cycle, and repowering projects.

You will drive client satisfaction, manage risks, and contribute to business development while leading project execution across North American sites, including travel as required.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 15 years of experience on power generation projects, including Owner’s Engineer and/or detailed engineering/design.
• Minimum 5 years in business development or as a “seller-doer.”
• Professional Engineer license is preferred but not required.
• Position primarily office-based with travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide project management expertise to the team.
• Manage energy projects/programs.
• Coordinate with leadership, discipline leads, and cross-functional teams.
• Lead or support proposals and business development efforts.
• Mentor junior staff and drive staff utilization targets.
• Ensure risk management, schedule, budget, and quality alignment.
