Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Project Manager for its Energy & Resources business line to lead multi-discipline teams on thermal generation projects in North America. This role includes serving as a seller-doer, supporting business development, and driving successful project delivery with emphasis on client service and risk management.

You will coordinate with leadership and discipline leads and contribute to PM best practices while ensuring alignment across project teams and geographies.

Qualifications

• Engineering design and construction experience with power plant projects.
• Experience in project management including leadership, scheduling, controls.
• Strong communicator and team player with cross-office collaboration.
• Experience with EPC/DBB/ECI delivery models.
• Knowledge of multi-discipline energy projects.
• Business development, proposals, and budgeting experience.
• Willingness to travel to US/Canada.
• Proficiency in MS 365 (Teams, SharePoint) and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Provide project management expertise to our team.
• Manage Energy projects/programs.
• Contribute to project management best practices and methodology.
• Coordinate with leadership, discipline leads, teams, clients, and vendors.
• Coordinate to ensure alignment of project execution.
• Support client satisfaction and relationship management efforts.
• Monitor resources, schedule, budget, and quality.
• Identify and resolve project execution gaps and implement improvements.
• Lead proposals and mentor junior staff.
• Achieve utilization targets as agreed.
