Job summary

Stantec, a global design firm, seeks a Project Manager to lead multi-discipline teams on thermal generation projects within the Energy & Resources line. You will drive delivery for Owner’s Engineer or Detailed Engineering/Design services across simple cycle, combined cycle, and repowering efforts, with a focus on client satisfaction and project excellence.

You will also contribute to business development, align with PM frameworks, mentor junior staff, and travel to US/Canada sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Engineering design and construction experience with power plant projects.
• Expertise in project management including leadership, scheduling, controls, and document controls.
• Strong collaboration, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Experience leading multi-discipline energy projects and various delivery models.
• Experience in business development, proposals, and budgeting.

Responsibilities

• Provide project management expertise to our team.
• Manage energy projects and programs.
• Support project management best practices and methodology.
• Coordinate with leadership, discipline leads, and clients.
• Ensure alignment and consistency of project execution.
• Coach and mentor staff to improve client satisfaction.
• Monitor resources, schedule, budget, and quality.
• Identify and address gaps in processes and systems.
• Capture lessons learned and drive improvements.
• Support leadership in recruitment and development of PMs.
