Job summary

Stantec seeks a Project Manager for its Energy & Resources line to lead multi-discipline teams on thermal generation projects across North America. You will guide Owner’s Engineer or Detailed Engineering work for simple cycle, combined cycle, and repowering projects, coordinating with leaders, clients, and subcontractors to ensure success.

This role emphasizes client service, risk management, and delivery excellence, with opportunities in business development and mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering related field.
• Minimum of 15 years on power generation projects (Owner’s Engineer or detailed engineering).
• Minimum 5 years in business development or as a seller-doer.
• Professional Engineer license preferred, not required.
• Office-based role with typical computer work.

Responsibilities

• Provide project management expertise to the team.
• Manage Energy projects/programs.
• Support PM best practices and methodology alignment.
• Coordinate with leadership, discipline leads, clients and vendors.
• Monitor resources, schedule, budget, and quality.
