Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Project Manager in its Energy & Resources line to lead multi-discipline teams on thermal generation projects in North America. The role covers Owner’s Engineer or Detailed Engineering/Design for simple cycle, combined cycle, and repowering initiatives.

You will drive client service, manage risks, align teams, and support business development, while mentoring staff and delivering high-quality results.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 15 years of experience on power generation projects (Owner’s Engineer and/or detailed engineering).
• Minimum 5 years in business development, and/or as a “seller-doer.”
• Professional Engineer registration preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide project management expertise to the team.
• Manage Energy projects/programs.
• Contribute to PM best practices aligned with our frameworks.
• Coordinate with leadership, discipline leads, clients, and vendors.
• Lead proposals and mentor junior staff.
