Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Project Manager for the Energy & Resources line to lead multi-discipline teams on thermal generation projects. You will drive Owner’s Engineer or Detailed Engineering work for simple cycle, combined cycle, or repowering projects across North America.

You will mentor staff, support business development, and ensure project objectives are met while managing risk, schedule, and budget with a client-centric approach.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 15 years of experience on power generation projects (Owner’s Engineer or detailed engineering).
• Minimum 5 years in business development or as a seller-doer.
• Professional Engineer registration preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide project management expertise to the team.
• Lead energy projects and programs.
• Assist in business development and proposals.
• Coordinate with leadership, discipline leads, clients, and vendors.
• Ensure alignment and consistency of project execution.
• Mentor staff and support client relationship management.
• Monitor resources, schedule, budget, and quality.
• Identify and close project execution gaps with leadership.
