Job summary

Florida Orthopaedic Institute in Riverview, FL is seeking a Therapy Front Representative to manage front-end office tasks from greeting patients to discharge. Responsibilities include benefit verification, patient financial collection, chart maintenance, and scheduling for Therapy visits.

On-site role with a focus on accurate insurance communications and outstanding customer service. Requirements include a High School Diploma or equivalent and customer service skills; medical environment

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Customer Service skills.
• Preferably experience in the medical environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide Excellent Customer Service at all times.
• Obtain therapy benefits and coordinate with patients.
• Monitor prescriptions and therapy-related authorizations.
• Retrieve and respond to voicemails promptly and professionally.
• Communicate effectively with Therapists on patient matters.
• Notify patients about insurance issues before appointments.
• Keep the work area tidy and organized.
• Answer voicemail messages and manage calls.
• Cross-train across therapy front desk areas.
• Attend monthly staff and FD meetings.
• Perform duties with professionalism and courtesy.
• Ensure all tasks are completed before shift ends.
• Greet patients upon arrival and verify co-payments and deductibles.
• Explain new patient paperwork and benefits clearly.
• Follow up on inactive patients and manage Athena orders.
• Schedule therapy appointments per care plans.
• Maintain clear communication with patients, visitors, and FOI team.
• Prepare for Medical Records and discharge procedures.
• Distribute and collect mail twice daily.
• Take on additional duties as assigned.
