Job summary

Florida Orthopaedic Institute in Florida is seeking a Therapy Services Representative to manage front desk operations for the Therapy department. You will greet patients, verify benefits, obtain authorizations, schedule visits, and handle patient financial responsibilities with accuracy and courtesy.

You will maintain therapy charts, prepare charge tickets, follow up on inactive patients, and ensure compliance with policies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Minimum 1 year experience in the medical environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide Excellent Customer Service at all times.
• Obtain therapy benefits for all patients including new, splint, and Home Programs two days in advance before the patients appointment
• Obtain authorization for Therapy visits two days in advance, through Online Portals or direct phone contact to the insurance companies.
• Monitor patient visit count and obtain reauthorization as needed for continued Therapy Visits.
• Schedule all Therapy New and Established patients per the Therapy Plan of Care.
• Explain in detail all new patient paperwork including benefits to all new patients
• Daily chart preparation for all new and continued patients.
• Prepare all patient charge tickets for Business Office processing.
• Follow up on all inactive patients.
• Communicate well with patients, visitors, and all FOI team members
• Distribute and Collect Mail 2 times a day
