Job summary

Cinemark is seeking an Assistant Manager to help run theatre operations, ensuring policies and procedures are followed and standards are met. The role is cross-trained across departments to support needs and to train employees for growth.

Career progression includes Senior Assistant Manager and Theatre Manager after completing Cinemark’s Management Accreditation Program and six months of service at the theatre.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High School or G.E.D. graduate preferred.
• Complete Cinemark Management Accreditation Program courses.
• Complete basic food handling training and obtain local/state certification where required.
• Safe Alcohol Service training if working with alcohol.
• Availability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Regular and consistent attendance.
• Energetic and friendly attitude during each shift.
• Provides excellent Guest service.
• Accurate cash handling and basic math skills.
• Strong verbal and written English communication.
• Ability to train and lead others.
• Ability to work in a team and independently.
• Ability to follow directions and resolve conflicts.

Responsibilities

• Follows the direction of the General Manager.
• Supports GM decisions in staff communications.
• Works in all departments and theatre functions.
• Trains and coaches Team Members in their roles.
• Assists in preparing administrative and special reports.
• Inspects theatre, parking lot, landscaping, equipment and signage.
• Reports repairs to the General Manager.
• Ensures staff dress code compliance.
• Interacts with Guests to deliver superior service.
• Enforces Cinemark guidelines with fairness.
• Reports employee relations issues per protocol.
• Follows Employee Relations Reporting Protocol.
• Maintains high work ethic and conduct.
• Identifies and sanitizes high-contact areas.
• Uses PPE as required and follows safety protocols.
• Addresses safety or security issues.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
